Laura Shaw according to her web site wants you to believe her dogs live in paradise. What she fails to do is show you how they really live. Enclosed is a video that was taken by owners of a dog "Cash" that Laura would not return in January 2014. At the time taken it was well below zero degrees. The dog in the xpen is now back with her breeder after being bred 5 times. Cash who was escorted by police is back home finally with owners. Other dogs and puppies still remain on the property.

Are dogs still being "housed" like this on her property?

Guest

The dogs still live outdoors 24/7 they are never exercised and are only out of the cages when time to sell a litter. I wish the website would reflect the truth rather then all the lies they don't have large enclosures nor do they get to run in fields they have old freezers to live in and one is in an old trailer. I know this for a fact as i live next door.

Whomever wrote this review has no idea what they are talking about. The people defending this review also have no idea what they are talking about.

ALL of it is false. The people pretending to attempt to defend this breeder is actually the people who wrote the review trying to make the situation seem so much worst. The whole think is incredibly funny. Even funnier is that someone stated that the dog was bred 5 times.

The most they have ever bred one dog was 3 times EVER.

The dog in the video was bred 1 time and there was 1 puppy ever. Get your facts straight people!

Cash the dog came as a virgin. He returned a virgin.

We wanted to return him in Spring a few weeks after he came to Canada when he bit a groomer to the bone of her arm not once but 4 times across her arm. All she did was comb his hair. Cash has an aggressive way of showing a person that he did not want his hair combed. Too many eye witnesses of the event.

This happened in a public grooming saloon. The woman bitten by Cash was on antibiotics for a whole month. After which he bit the female dogs he was supposed to breed and never bred. With that kind of temperament we are lucky he did not breed any dog.

He should be neutered. One of the female dogs that Cash bit he sunk his teeth on her nose and punctured *** in the roof of her mouth. If he bit her any higher our female dog would have been blind. We sent her the Ontario Dog Law saying that the owner is responsible for the actions of her dog no matter who handles the dog.

I was wondering what took Rachel too long to pick up her dog. Now I know since Julie had to pass the hat and ask donations to send him back home. All the biting events happened a few days after Cash the dog arrived here. The owner of Cash then informed Laura that Cash had had issues.

We did not know how bad these issues were that Cash had before coming to Canada until all these happened. These all happened in the Spring of 2013. Lucky for Laura Cash did not breed any dog. Cash is a good looking beautiful dog but a very bad undesirable moody temperament.

He could easily turn against anyone at any time. I do hope that when it happened it is not one of the children. We handled Cash and turned him over to the OPP with a muzzle on. I was so glad that Cash was off our hands.

Then another time he turned as sweet as an angel. I have worked for 42 years as a special education teacher, now retired.

I have seen the same and similar reactions of human beings and animals that have intrinsic mental and personality defects and disorders. Let truth be told.

The video that Julie and her co conspiratiors shows themselves as illegal trespassers who want to take a dog owned by someone else. That is breaking and entering in another person's private property.

She puts it on YouTube and everywhere that became viral even demonstrates the aggressive behaviour of Cash at times. Cash would have torn her apart that day. Anyone can see that clearly on Julie's own video. I was hoping Julie would have kept Cash longer then she would have seen the real nature of Cash.

At times he would be nice and then he would turn against a person or another animal even without provocation. Then another day Cash would be fine. The bad thing is he is very unpredictable.

His aggression can happen at any time with anyone human beings or another animal. Let truth be known.

And its uncommon for a dog to growl at a stranger outside their fence? Walk down any street in a neighborhood and you will be barked at and dogs will growl at you when you walk by.

There was a video taken of Cash as soon as he was removed from the kennel with the same person who took the video. He was not growling or upset at all, but was doing tricks for her.

Maybe he just didnt want to be abused by your family anymore. Let the truth be known!

Whatever your comments are trying to defend yourself of the dogs behavior DOES NOT JUSTIFY the horrible living conditions the dogs live in !

You should be closed down.

More lies, just words on a paper. There is written proof about the demands for Cash over the months that he was held there.

The OPP would not have stepped in if there was no proof of numerous written demands for the return of the dog.

As far as Cash biting another dog, he seems to get along fine with all the dogs he has been around prior to when you says he bit a dog. Its really funny how he only started having all of these major problems once he was in your care. Border Collies are not made to be locked in small kennel runs 24/7 with no exercise.

Cash was lacking so much muscle when he got home that he could barely move around the yard.

And yes, a hat was passed around for donations for his return home. Guess who was supposed to pay for his return. Thats right, Laura!

And of course its in writing that she was supposed to pay for his flight.

You might want to ask your daughter for some facts before you post more lies.

I am proud that people came together to get Cash home to his rightful owner. I wish your other dogs were as lucky to have owners that cared about them.

we dont care if he was a virgin or not.. what does that have to do with him living in these conditions?

NOTHING.

Stop making excuses!!!! just show us the facts.

A virgin??? The dog was struggling to just stay alive probably breeding wasn't high on his list of priorities.

No wonder he bit - IF he actually ever did. Anyone who knows how to handle dogs would make sure he never bit anyone or anything. So if he did *** it just goes to prove how incompetent the person handling him was. And, please, don't try and say someone else was handling him at the time.

Anyone with half a brain wouldn't allow someone else to handle a dog they knew was a biter.

You people just don't get it. Every time you offer up an excuse to try and explain away something you ultimately make yourselves look worse.

I hope KARMA bites you all! How dare you treat animals like this and then cry that it is not the truth and do nothing to prove it wrong.

Guest

This is absolutely disgusting. People that treat animals this way make me sick!

Maybe these people need to spend a few nights outside in -40 with nothing but a tarp to protect them from the elements. How are people like this allowed to own any animal?

This isn't the first time this family has been reported for animal neglect. By leaving ANY animals on the property in these conditions, the TB&D Humane Society gets a huge FAIL!

They have insulated doghouses. Yes, I have tired to stay in their doghouses to test the temperatures in there.

It is nice and cozy in there. On top of that we have given them high carbohydrate nutritional food just like what they feed dogs in the Yukon, Alaska, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. I have lived in the Northwest Territories north of the 60th parallel. I know what it is like there.

Huskies and in fact some Border Collies are part of the dog sled team in Nunavut. I have seen Border Collies in the Northwest Territories.

We have relatives family members who live at present in the Yukon. And yes there are Border Collies in the Yukon, Alaska and Northwest Territories and Nunavut where the Inuit Eskimos live in their igloos.

You tried to stay in the dog houses to test the temperatures? How long?

Did you spend a full night when it is -45 or less with wind chill. Does a carbohydrate nutritional food insulate the dog from the cold and wind? The cold only affects a hungry dog? Just trying to understand how you can rationalize your actions?

I'm sure you realize people are upset at what we have seen. If you are a legitimate breeder why don't you have a proper shelter (and by this I mean building with heat) for your dogs?

These animals are housed in a junk yard without even a hydro service.

Considering she lives in an old recycled construction trailer without hydro or running water (therefore no plumbing, yuck) sleeping in a freezer wouldn't be much of a step down.
